GUIDELINES FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONS

 

General Information

1. The Presenting Author must register for the Conference, before submitting the Abstract.

2. Maximum of two abstract submissions are allowed.

3. We will acknowledge receipt of all abstracts submitted and provide an Abstract ID for

     reference.

4. The selection of abstracts will be done by the Committee, whose decisions are final.

5. Submission closing date : 15th April 2014

6. Announcement of selected abstracts : 30th April 2014

7. Prize for top 3 free paper and top 3 poster presenters, are as follows:

 

• Free paper :

1st prize : RM750 

2nd prize : RM500 

3rd prize : RM300

• Poster :

1st prize : RM500 

2nd prize : RM300 

3rd prize : RM200

 

Instructions for preparation of abstracts

1. Abstract must be submitted in English, typewritten in font size 11 point Arial (preferred)

2. TITLE must be brief, concise and in CAPITALS

3. MAIN AUTHOR and CO-AUTHORS – Type in your name as you want it to appear in the

    Programme Book

4. Text of the abstract must not exceed 250 words and be typed single-spaced, with only the left

     margin justified. Graphs, tables and illustrations cannot be included in the abstract.

5. The abstract should contain the following :

• A statement of the objectives of the study

• A description of the methods used

• A summary of the results obtained

• A statement of the conclusions reached

6. Please state whether the abstract is being submitted for Poster or Oral Presentation

 

Procedure for Abstract Participation

1. Submit your abstract using the Abstract Submission Form

2. The Abstract and Abstract Submission Form are to be emailed to : ooconline2014@gmail.com

3. Abstracts must be received by the stipulated deadline, using the format provided, together with

    registration and payment for the 1st OOC.

4. Authors of papers selected for presentation will be notified.

5. All abstracts submitted that are not selected for oral presentation will automatically be

    considered for posters presentation.
